2025 Viognier Rosè

$32.00
This is our very first vintage of Viogner Rosè.  It is one of only two produced in Oregon and the only one still in production.  Traditional Rosè is produced with red grapes and the skins are pulled early to give it that slightly pink or salmon color.  Viognier Rosè is produced by co-fermenting 1 ton of Viogier with with 80 lbs of Syrah to give it a beautiful dark coral color.  This leaves the aromatics of the Viognier but adds a mild amount of the Syrah characteristics.

Varietal Composition:  96% Viognier, 4% Syrah co-fermented
Vineyard / AVA:  Mae’s Vineyard, Rogue Valley
Aging & Cooperage:  100% Stainless Steel
Bottled:  April 2026
Cases Produced:  53 cases
Wine Maker:  Barrel 42
Tasting Notes:  A truly special wine with a beautiful bubblegum color, aromas of ripe apricot, white peach, wild strawberry, and melon, layered with distinct honeysuckle and rose petals. Loaded flavors of tart citrus zest, lemon peel and ripe stone fruit. Exceptionally round palate balanced with crisp minerality and bright acidity.
Enjoy:  Serve at room temperature to enjoy all of the complex aromatics or well-chilled, between 45–50°F to
experience it’s freshness.
Pairings:  Pairs well with grilled prawns, pan roasted scallops, salmon, halibut, baked brie with apricot jam, goat cheese and strawberry salad, charcuterie boards, roasted chicken with apricot or tangerine glaze, grilled peach and burrata salad or spiced prawn curry.
